SHOES FOR THE FEET OF THE WORLD
Founded in 2013, Grace of God is a Non-profit organization. Since then, we have had the opportunity to donate over 1000 pairs of shoes. As of this time, we have sent one shipment to Camino de Restauración in Nicaragua and three shipments to Lagos, Nigeria: two shipments to Four Square Gospel Church; one to Modupe Cole Memorial Child Care Home School. Our goal is to send donations of shoes each quarter of the year to a different country.
It was on December 2012 while watching a Christian movie filmed in Africa that Beysith Novella received a calling from God. The message was clear: help the less fortunate by providing them with shoes. Right after this magnificent experience, Beysith started her quest.
Beysith began collecting shoes by asking donations from her church, family, friends, co-workers, various local businesses and anybody that could contribute to her calling. While in the quest to collect donations, one little detail escaped Beysith’s mind, who could help her get the shoes to their new owners? Beysith prayed and prayed for someone to help her on this task, and after several tries to connect with an African source to deliver the donations with no luck, when Beysith went out to drop her clothes at a local dry cleaner to her surprise the person in the counter was from Africa. At that moment Beysith knew God had answered to her prayers. God moves in ways beyond imagination: only God could bring two people together from different countries sharing the same mission and make it a reality.
Beysith shared her vision with her husband and friends who decided join and work with her on this wonderful Godly mission. Since then, they have been working with an African pastor to deliver shoes to different communities in Africa and taking pictures of the shoes being distributed to the people in the African ministry. Beysith feels very blessed to have the opportunity to help those who need the most. Since all of this has occurred, Beysith’s vision has grown, not only to help the people in Africa but all of mankind. From this initiative, “Grace of God ICM” was born.
“God has truly touched my heart and I want to do everything possible to fulfill the purpose that He has placed in me. Our plan is to continue helping the needy: seeing people smile is more valuable than all the money in the world.” – Beysith Lagos.
We are 501(c) 3 Non-profit organization dedicated to collecting new and slightly used shoes from private donations and Faith-based institutions to distribute them to men, women and children in the deprived and disadvantaged communities of Africa, as well as Central and South America.
People around the world and our local communities are in great need of shoes. Our vision and goal is to provide much needed shoes to people around the world and our local communities. Collection and distribution will be done through Church Ministries and other non-profit organizations.
The first step of our process is to contact the organization with which we are going to work and gather all necessary information. Once we have obtained the satisfactory amount of information about the localities we will help, we contact our social networks and others who have shown an interest in being part of this endeavor to ask for donations. Once we are contacted by an organization or individuals that have the donations we requested, we proceed to collect them. These shoes are then taken to our center of operations where they are classified by size and age. Before packing the shoes for shipment, they are disinfected, cleaned, and tied together. The shoes are then put into previously identified boxes or casks, depending on their destination. Finally, these packages are then moved to the place of delivery where they will be sent to their final destination.
We are quite delighted to be associated with Sister Beysith Lagos and Walter Novella, God has used this couple as divine contacts for hundreds of people who were in great needs in our nation Nigeria, young and old, able and disabled. The first batch of shoe aids received served to open the door to the gospel to the under reached people of Northern Nigeria who had existed in severe poverty under the throes of Islamic fundamentalism, terrorism and natural disasters, these people's heart opened to the love of Christ when they received shoe gifts and many got saved. This was a practical demonstration of the heart of God. Also at Modupe Cole, home for the physically challenged people in the heart of Lagos Nigeria, the mighty hand of compassion from the Lord was extended through the initiative of Beysith and Walter and Grace of God International Charity Ministry to all the inmates, some of whom had been housed there for ten, twenty, and thirty years, joy of divine providence took over a gloomy environment when the shoes arrived, we had of our own gone back there with other much needed provisions. The last batch of aids, especially the pampers met a dire need for the parents and children of a branch of The Foursquare Gospel Church in Nigeria, many of our Missionaries also benefited as they got shoe aids to keep going for Jesus. Glory to God

These are the people that made this dream a reality.
Mrs. Novella was born and raised in San Cristobal, Venezuela. Growing up in an underdeveloped country, Beysith and her family faced many struggles and difficulties such as lack of clothing, food, healthcare and education. Later, in her mid-twenties, Beysith was blessed with the opportunity of moving and working in the United States. This was her chance to make things better; to build a more suitable future for her and her family. After years of tremendous efforts and stumbles in the US, Beysith was offered an opportunity to join the Capital Area Food Bank in Lorton VA.
Beysith was responsible of helping many in need by being the organization’s office coordinator; every time that she helped others she felt that she changed those families and individual’s lives for the better. Working with different organizations has been the most rewarding experience in her life as well as the source of motivation for helping even more people.
With more than five years within the non-profit sector, Mrs. Lagos has grown not only more experienced, but the desire that God put in her hearth of helping and serving others has grown as well. Currently, Beysith and her husband Walter Novella are still sending shoes to Nigeria and Nicaragua; they are working very hard to see their vision fulfilled.
Mr. Novella has more than 10 years of experience working and administrating his own company as a general contractor operating on the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia. Experience that he will put to work on Grace of God I.C.M. Administrating and organizing are part of his stronger skills as well as his willingness to serve the ones in need.
As part of his endeavors to help the needy he has helped orphanages with HIV in Peru, providing them with food for their daily nutrition. He has also helped AA organizations and recovering drug users in the Metropolitan area by providing hygiene products as well as spiritual support. He has also provided food for the homeless of Washington DC on multiple occasions.
Now him and his wife Beysith Lagos are working together to make this vision of Grace of God I.C.M. a reality to change the lives of many for the better. God has given them a vision of love and mercy for all the needy.
“Jesus said unto him, thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.”
Matthew 22: 37-39 KJV
